100M Fintech Tech, Marketing, and Sales Talent Overhaul

CHALLENGE

A $100M fintech company was grappling with deep technical debt and a fragmented technology organization, limiting its ability to scale. With ambitious plans to grow to $1B in revenue over the next decade, they needed a comprehensive talent strategy to build a world-class leadership team across product, engineering, marketing, and sales.

APPROACH

We were brought in to lead multiple national searches, starting with a transformative Chief Technology Officer capable of modernizing the tech stack and improving internal service delivery. Simultaneously, the company was underperforming in key growth areas: lifecycle and acquisition, so we executed two additional searches to bring in a Director of Growth and a Director of Lifecycle, each with a track record of unlocking revenue through data-driven experimentation and retention strategy. We also partnered closely with the CEO to place a Head of Sales for a new revenue channel and led the search for their Founding Data Scientist, a critical hire to build internal data infrastructure, support GTM decision-making, and lay the foundation for long-term product analytics. All roles were sourced nationally and closed within a 30- to 90-day window, ensuring tight alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.

OUTCOME

The company now has a rebuilt leadership bench across technology, growth, lifecycle, sales, and data. The new CTO is driving tech modernization and cross-functional collaboration, while the Director-level hires are accelerating acquisition and retention. The Founding Data Scientist is spearheading key data initiatives, enabling deeper insight across the org and improving operational visibility. Together, these hires are unlocking scalability, revenue expansion, and internal performance, setting the stage for the company’s long-term growth to $1B.
